About Jennifer Lee-Wilkin
Meet Jennifer Lee-Wilkin: Artist/Teacher
I have been teaching art for the past 30 years since I graduated from the University of Washington. There I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major/minor in art and a teaching certificate. I spent a year taking courses at Cornish Art School following my graduation and earned a Masters of Education degree several years ago. I have taught private lessons, public school, adult education, and children’s art camps in the summer, totaling 30 years of teaching. I enjoy working in a variety of materials myself, but especially with drawing and painting of subject matter. But my true love is the joy I experience in helping others realize their creative potential no matter what their age.
Next to my home in Rosedale, in which I have lived for the past 28 years, I have an art studio with a waterfront setting . Because it is small, I prefer to limit the number of students. I can provide the supplies for the kinds of two dimensional art you may be interested in making or you may bring your own. Some material costs may be added to the lesson fee. Lessons are available with drawing and/or painting in the media of your choice, including: watercolor, oil paints, acrylics, gouache, opaque water color, pastels, charcoal, sketching, conté crayon, oil pastels, colored pencils, and pen & ink. You may be a beginner or have some art experience on which to build.
Creating Art is a way to express yourself, your thoughts, & your feelings, record what you see in the world around you, engage your mind, eyes, & hands in a productive way, relax & reduce stress, and focus your energy.
Are you ready to begin an adventure in art?
